Can't install microsoft lifecam "downloading and installing files" loop

If you try to install lifecam and the setup gets into loop and saying "downloading files" but it never passes this stage, you will have to download the drivers from somewhere else.
from 2 times i tried to install the vx-1000 camera for different clients, 2 times i couldn't do it , same problem on both times.
i found a driver that don't require such setup in driverguide.com .
try to register this site and search for the drivers.

that's the link of the faulty driver from microsoft. i tried it in 3 computers and the same error happend, so i can conclude that it doesn't work, period.
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/download/DownloadResult.aspx?category=ICE&type=Webcams&name=VX1000&os=XP_SP2&lang=en
and one question for Microsoft, why would i want to download something during installation, after i already downloaded the setup file, couldn't you include it in the file??? what if i don't have an internet connection???
give a skip option, give the drivers separately, but don't force the user to download files during installation, i have never saw such a driver installation.
you don't even put a cancel button during the setup. bad  design!.

well well, i tried to extract the .exe in my computer with winrar, and guess what, you can access the files,  so just like in the packagefromtheweb joke (look previous post)  you can do the same here.

but i can't find any drivers in that file.

news:

it actually finishes the installation, but it took me about an hour, just leave the computer for a night or something, before you conclude that it doesn't work. still i'm not taking my words back, bad design, as no indication about the progress shown properly, and there is no reason the user should download more files during the setup, and it shouldn't take that long.

worst installation file ever.
